On March 29-30, through your hands, feet, words, and presence, the reality of God's love for the people of the Bay Area becomes more evident as we all go out to serve together. Jeremiah 29:7 tells us to “seek the welfare of the city... for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
- Every project you will find here has been developed and led by volunteers from our church in partnership with ministries throughout the Bay Area.
- For the past six months, dozens of people have poured hundreds of hours into prayer, identifying needs, and developing plans to engage 4000+ individuals in a wave of service from San Francisco to San Jose.
- Every opportunity is planned to let people know that Jesus Christ is at work in the world today, and that all are invited to a life-changing journey with him.
- Compassion Weekend is not an end in itself. It is but one step in seeing the needs and opportunities God brings before us every day, and learning how we can see the life of Christ unleashed in our communities as part of the ongoing rhythm of our lives.
This year, I pray that you will grow UPWARD in a deeper understanding of God and his plan for you; INWARD within of a community of faith serving together; and OUTWARD as we follow Jesus'  example "not to be served, but to serve" throughout our lives.
This website, contains the information you need to find a way to serve with others. There is something for singles, couples, and families of virtually all ages. Invite a friend. Sign up as a small group. Join in as a family. Try something new. And expect God to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
